After the success of Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre everyone jumped on the bandwagon to the point where even MC Hammer was rapping on G-Funk beats. Warren Gs album came out at exactly the right time where hip hop were salivating for some G-Funk it became one of the most successful.
1994 was the best year in hip-hop in my opinion. You had artists from all areas releasing classic after classic. But my favorite place of that year was the east.
Im sorry west heads but I love dark jazzy boom bap beats. This album is perfect for that year. Its almost like another Illmatic short and easy to listen to with much replay value.
